Ionad Hiort | St Kilda Centre will honour the story of St Kilda and share it with the world from its home in Uig. More than a visitor centre, it will be a cultural and economic catalyst. Through innovative design, immersive storytelling and a deep respect for Gaelic language and culture, it will bring to life one of the world’s most remarkable island stories and support a thriving future for the Uig community and beyond.

We are now entering a pivotal phase: seeking philanthropic partners to help realise this nationally significant project. Together, we can:

  • Establish a world-class centre dedicated to the heritage of St Kilda and the Gaelic culture of the islands;

  • Create skilled employment, training and sustainable opportunities in Uig;

  • Inspire intergenerational learning and connection through language, landscape and story; and

  • Strengthen Scotland’s global reputation for innovation in heritage and cultural regeneration.
